My late Aunt Karren shared this wonderful cookie recipe with me.  My Uncle Joe said it stole his heart when he received a batch!  

6 c. flour

2 T. sugar

1/2 lb butter

1/2 lb crisco

1 c. sour cream

1 heaping tsp. baking powder

Nut Filling**

work dough until you hear popping sounds about 10 minutes.  Make a disc and wrap in plastic wrap.  Refrigerate overnight.  Preheat oven to 350

divide dough into sixteen pieces and roll out each into a circle.  Cut into pie shapes with the length of one side four inches.  Place nut mixture into  center and spread out.  Roll long side to point

bake at 325 for 10-12 minutes

**Nut Filling

1 lb walnut

1 c. sugar

3 tsp vanilla

1/2 c. milk

grind to a paste…if too thick add a little milk
