I was inspired to start quilting at a class I took at the AQS by Michelle, the peaceful quilter. I completed my first art quilt which I have titled, “a study on grey”. It has been fun. This quilt uses 2.5″ squares of batiks red and orange pieced into a gradation of greys. It was quilted using thread from my quilting teacher’s collection: a variegated aurifil cotton thread and a shiny rayon variegated thread. The discs are raised.
Talented lady! 😜💕🎵
A real work of art. Can’t believe you just started this. Just saw a quilt consisting of dog paws. Could be your next project.
The piece is unique and beautiful. What an addition to the room, color choice is smashing!
Mary, the quilt is stunning! Love the floating discs. In addition to being artistic and creative, you are so productive! I don’t know how you accomplish so much.
Very cool; )
